Renting toys

As they say it - "tired of spending a small fortune on toys for your pride and joy only for them to be discarded to the bottom of the toybox" - then take a look at Rent-a-toy. They also do "holiday packs" and parties. The smallest subscription is R100 a month (for a box of toys with a retail value of at least R600), so I'm not sure if this is a good investment - any ideas on how to calculate that?

Whoohoo. I'm back online in Cape Town, South Africa - the internet cafe was really a drag. Last Saturday we were at the Old Biscuit Mill, in Woodstock, stuffing ourselves with foodie goodies (unfortunately no oysters this time around, but I had some delicious macadamia nut and chocolate biscuits). I love this market because of the unique stuff for sale - no cheap plastic stuff here. My friend Silvia has a fun range of babies clothes called Petite pois and next to her in the kids section, was ScrapsKissKiss (I blogged about before).

Pan African market meets Melville Quilt

I was at the Pan Africa Market (Long street, Cape Town) the other day, buying one of those barber shop pictures, and lo and behold I came across my Melville Quilt. I guess I shouldn't have been too surprised because I heard they were available at the Victoria Street Market (Durban) also.
